This walnut is a cross between the Butternut and the Japanese Walnut. It is resistant to butternut canker. The seedlings available are derived from trees with very interesting genetics and located in Mauricie or Centre-du-Québec in 4b. The nut of this tree cracks very well since it breaks into two parts, cleans well and releases beautiful pieces of kernels. The walnut leans more towards the Japanese walnut side in its interior morphology. It is the ideal tree with the black walnut for planting in nut orchards in our latitudes and for its resistance to diseases. The annual harvest will be abundant and reliable
