The Japanese walnut, as its name suggests, is native to Asia. This tree has surprising growth and can produce shoots of more than 120 cm per year. It comes into production more quickly than most other walnuts. It is the most ornamental of the walnut species. Its leaves measure up to 1 m long and the tree has a tropical look. It produces abundantly multiple clusters of nuts. The husks clean well and release nuts with kernels that are easy to remove. When you break the nuts of the Japanese walnut or heart walnut, the shell always opens into two identical pieces, which makes them easier to consume. These very pretty heart-shaped nuts have a taste similar to butternut nuts. The Japanese walnut is highly recommended for multiple planting in an orchard or to beautify your land because it will remain small to medium size and you can enjoy its delicious nuts.
