The Silken apple is a Canadian-developed dessert apple known for its creamy yellow, translucent skin and crisp, juicy, honeyed flavor. Developed in 1982 in Summerland, British Columbia, it is a cross between Honeygold and Sunrise and is named in honor of Canadian Olympic rower Silken Lauman
Taste Profile: Sweet and subtly tart with mild acidity and light honey notes.
Texture: Crisp, aqueous, and fine-textured with a delicate, "silky" skin.
