The Patten is a medium to large pear weighing 125g on average. It has the classic shape of a pear and a very long peduncle. Its skin is thin, yellowish-green with a coral red cheek and brown lenticels. Its flesh is white. It is one of the later pears. It is ready for harvest at the end of September. The pear is good at harvest time, but its flavor and texture improve with time.
