European variety

The fruit is large, slightly tart, contains few grains, its firm texture, excellent for canning, keeps well. The tree used to grow tall and spread somewhat. Flower buds hardy to at least -34°F or -36°C; the tree is resistant to fire blight so it is a very interesting variety for eastern Canada.

Pollination: Self-sterile. Requires another pear tree for pollination.
