As the name suggests, the Yellow Egg plum is a type of European plum shaped like a yellow egg. Known for being a little smaller, European plums are a great addition to home orchards for their fresh qualities when allowed to fully ripen, as well as their use in pies, tartlets, and various savory recipes.
