A magnificent small tree with a pyramidal to oval shape. In June-July, large white flowers (6cm diameter) appear, reminiscent of those of the Camellia. Over the years, the trunk exfoliates, creating pretty cream and light brown patches, very interesting in winter. Plant in a location protected from prevailing winter winds. Use as a specimen tree. For zone 5b
