Shaggy Hickory Nuts are available now for your own spring 2018 sowing experiments.
We sell them without the husk. The nuts are not stratified so you will need to plant them 2 inches deep this fall or keep them in the fridge over winter in a slightly damp sandbag for best germination results in spring.
Be careful, without a stratification period, the seeds will not germinate. Ideal stratification temperature between 0 and 4°C and the seeds must be prevented from freezing.
