A classic rhododendron and notably one of the hardiest purple varieties available. This May or June flowering depending on the zone is extremely floriferous. It produces abundant dark purple star-shaped bells that pair beautifully with the exceptionally beautiful dark green foliage. Ideal for planting near foundations or mixed borders. Evergreen. Reaches 5 to 6 feet tall and wide.
