Small shrub with purple-pink flowers in drooping clusters. Stems without thorns. Rigorous and very productive variety. Flowers in spring and bears fruit in autumn. Its fleshy fruits vary in color from red to bluish to black, measuring 10 to 12 mm. Depending on the species, they are sweet, juicy or dry and tasteless. The fruit is very rich in vitamin C and potassium. Full sun or light shade, zone 2. Cross-pollination is not necessary for gadelier, but it results in a marked increase in yields.
