What is a Pluot? Pluots are unique interspecific hybrids, mixing lots of plums with a lesser amount of apricot genetics. The fruits look and taste like plums, but their texture is more like apricots. It is about 70 percent plum and about 30 percent apricot. With a smooth, sturdy skin, the fruit is full of sweet juice without the tough skin of a plum. The trees produce pretty fruits, rounded pluots with red-purple skin and yellow and purple flesh.
The fruit keeps for around 15 days after picking.
