What is a Pluot? Pluots are unique interspecific hybrids, mixing lots of plums with a lesser amount of apricot genetics. The fruits look and taste like plums, but their texture is more like apricots.It is about 70 percent plum and about 30 percent 'apricot. With a smooth, sturdy skin, the fruit is full of sweet juice without the tough skin of a plum. The trees produce pretty fruits, rounded pluots with red-purple skin and yellow and purple flesh.
The fruit keeps for around 15 days after picking.
