Mid-season
Another excellent dessert quality peach from the "Stellar" series. The fruit is 75% orange-red in color, with very slight shades of deep coral in the yellow flesh. It is resistant to bacterial spot and canker , and has no split kernels. Coralstar develops its sweet flavor and abundant juice early, and holds beautifully on the tree without over-ripening. Moderately cold hardy. A good all-around peach for desserts, canning and freezing. Ripens in late August/early September.
Pollination: Self-pollinating, but gives better harvests when planted near another peach variety with a similar flowering time.
Planting distance: 10-12 feet.
Hardiness zone: 6 in open ground. Zone 4-5 for pot growing.
Sunlight: Full sun.
