Growing in a pot
For growing in pots during the hot season on the balcony in a greenhouse or in your interior courtyard like all varieties of figs. dormant period required between -2°C and 4°C during winter.
Negronne is a tree of low to medium vigor, easy to grow as a stem or half stem, suitable for small spaces. Its resistance to cold is very good, which is due to the slow growth and rapid hardening of its new wood. This variety is of particular interest for the regular production of its blue-black flowered figs of very good taste quality. The fruits are of medium size and are very resistant to bad weather. These are particularly juicy, even creamy figs with a pronounced and complex flavor with a present fruitiness, whose sugar content can sometimes seem very high when the fruit is harvested very ripe. The taste is more balanced when the fruit is soft.
Self-fertile
Sunlight: full sun.
Soil: Well drained. Does not tolerate excessively wet soil, but needs good humidity during fruiting.
Once established, fig trees are drought tolerant and generally free of pests and diseases.
