Harko Nectarine. very easy for growing in pots under zone 5b

Harko nectarine is a Canadian variety with superior taste. The 'Harko' nectarine tree grows well in cold 5b regions protected from wind. The Harko fruit is both beautiful and delicious, with red skin and soft, very sweet yellow flesh. It's a vigorous variety, packed with huge, showy pink flowers in spring that turn into fruit in late summer. These trees do best in minimum zones 5b to 8 in the ground, but in pots they can be grown in zone 3b.

Plant it in a sunny location. A minimum of six hours of direct sunlight per day is recommended. The tree performs best in well-drained soil.

This variety of fruit tree is cold resistant and also disease resistant. It is very adaptable to the soil, as long as it drains well. The tree is also self-fertile. This means those growing Harko nectarines don't have to plant a second tree of a different variety nearby to ensure pollination.
