Spectacular pink flowers. Planting in a pot or in the ground using the Italian method. 5b minimum in open ground.

Resists very poorly to temperatures below -30°C and to strong dry winter winds. We have often lost it above the snow line... that's why it must be planted in a situation where it will be protected (city, neighborhood etc... micro climate.

It will begin to produce delicious, sweet and juicy fruits around 2 to 4 years after planting. Our pot growing experiments with peach and nectarine trees have given us harvests of over 80 peaches and nectarines per tree from young plants. The tree is at its hardiness limit inzone 5b. We do not recommend it for zone 4 except for growing in large pots or as the Italians do with fig trees in Montreal...that is to say, by covering it each winter with different methods of protection. You can experiment with different ways to protect it.

Distance between two nectarine trees (for good pollination): 10-12 feet
