This species of viburnum prefers rich, heavy, acidic to alkaline soil, as humid as possible and full sun to partial shade. Lentago viburnum is a shrub with glossy dark green foliage in summer, then purple-red in autumn and a rounded shape. The flowers are fragrant, white and the fruits are edible, green, then yellow, tinged from red to red and finally bluish black. They persist on the plants for a good part of the winter. It flowers on the shoots of the previous year. Shrub native to North America and native to Quebec.
