Shrub that can reach 4.5 m or more over time in good growing conditions with a width of 2.5 m. This species of viburnum prefers rich, heavy, acidic to alkaline soil, as humid as possible and full sun to partial shade. Lentago viburnum is a shrub with glossy dark green foliage in summer, then purple-red in autumn and a rounded shape. The flowers are fragrant, white and the fruits are edible, green, then yellow, tinged from red to red and finally bluish black. They persist on the plants for a good part of the winter. Interesting plant for feeding and attracting birds. Under good growing conditions, this shrub can spread by rhizomes in the garden and can occupy large spaces over time. It flowers on the shoots of the previous year. Shrub native to North America and native to Quebec.
