This walnut is a cross between the Butternut and the Japanese Walnut. It is resistant to butternut canker and can develop a large crown when older. We especially have the “Mitchell” variety available, the one whose nut cracks well, cleans well and releases beautiful pieces of kernels. The walnut leans more towards the Japanese walnut side in its interior morphology. It is the ideal tree with the black walnut for planting in nut orchards in our latitudes and for its resistance to diseases. The annual harvest will be abundant and reliable. For more details on its production or its hardiness, consult its technical sheet in PDF.
