The Magnolia delavayi is a superb ornamental tree, of medium size, with large gray-green leaves and covered, from mid-summer to autumn, with large, deliciously fragrant cream flowers. Moderately hardy (up to -12°C), it requires a location sheltered from cold winter winds, a sunny or partially shaded position, as well as neutral to acidic, fertile, moist and well-drained soil. This Magnolia, an extremely rare species, which can be described as a collector's tree, is to be discovered!
