Very hardy seedlings from parent trees in northern Michigan in zone 5. It was recommended to us by a couple of friends who have a huge chestnut orchard because the parent tree is climate reliable and disease resistant . The parent trees have complex genetics of Castanea Sativa X Mollisima X Dentata. It is being tested in our plantations for production. According to information, it produces well annually and resists well to blight and -28....-30 Celsius.
