The honeylocust is a beautiful ornamental tree that is part of the legume family and is widely planted in landscaping. It can reach a good size of 25 meters and live a little over a hundred years. Its pretty light and compound leaves, however, do not offer very dense shade. Its leaves emerge very late in spring. The small clustered flowers appear in June-July and produce long, flattened brownish pods which are decorative. The tree has very little color in autumn and tends mainly towards brownish-yellow. The trees we produce do not have thorns and come from a large tree well adapted to clay soil. It appreciates rich and humid alluvial soils even if it tolerates drier soils. The honeylocust is hardy in zone 4a or even 3b in protected situations and adapts very well to urban conditions. TECHNICAL SHEET COMING SOON.
