Growing in pots
For growing in pots during the hot season on the balcony in a greenhouse or in your interior courtyard like all varieties of figs. dormant period required between -2°C and 4°C during winter.
As its origins imply, this variety of fig tree is rustic and solid. A pretty ornamental plant in a pot, this fig tree produces a large quantity of plump and delicious figs from the first year! Cut for indoors, it still produces high quality, rich, juicy and sweet fruits. Self-fertile and very resistant to cold. Ripe figs are dark mahogany to deep mauve in color, pear-shaped, and their flesh is pale strawberry in color. Its large, medium green leaves with pronounced lobes make it very interesting. Plant in well-drained soil. This fig tree is resistant to cold, harmful insects and diseases.
Sunlight: full sun.
Soil: Well drained. Does not tolerate excessively wet soil, but needs good humidity during fruiting.
Once established, fig trees are drought tolerant and generally free of pests and diseases.
