Real almond tree for the production of market almonds. Must be grown in pots like peaches and nectarines because it fears frosts below -23 to -25°C. It's better not to take chances. Responds well to growing in pots by laying it on the ground in winter with dead leaves plus canvas or cover and the snow takes care of the rest. You can also bring it into an unheated garage between -20°C and 8°C or a shed. Very pretty and productive. The large, hard shells give way to soft almonds. This attractive tree yields large crops of crunchy almonds in the fall, and its beautiful pink flowers make it a delight to the eye in the spring. In pots must be pruned and kept around ten feet maximum. Ripens at the end of September. Self-Fertile, just one is enough.
