Large fruit striped with red, with firm white flesh. Sweet, extra juicy and sour flavor. Excellent apple for desserts, baking and cider making. Good resistance to browning. Very hardy and productive. The fruit keeps for 4 months. Pruning is done towards the end of March like all other apple trees and fruit trees elsewhere. In the fall, install a spiral on the trunk to protect it against sunburn and against rodents (field mice) for the first few years. A stake may also be necessary. Sensitive to scab and bacterial blight.
Planting distance between trees: 14 feet.
