The Black Velvet gooseberry has purple fruits, very dark ripe in mid-season. The fruit has a very good taste and is not too sour when ripe. Excellent for eating fresh, in jam, in jelly or any other dessert. This gooseberry bush has a height of 1 meter and a width of 1 meter. The plant has small thorns to be careful when picking.
