🌸 Azalea ‘Mandarin Lights’

Rhododendron × ‘Mandarin Lights’ – Northern Lights® Series

🌿 Description

The ‘Mandarin Lights’ azalea is a deciduous variety from the Northern Lights® series, created by the University of Minnesota to withstand very cold climates.
It is distinguished by its spectacular spring blooms: large, bright tangerine orange flowers with a slight fragrance that appear before the foliage. Its compact habit and bright color make it an exceptional ornamental shrub for northern gardens.

  • Width: 1 to 1.5 m
  • Habit: rounded, dense
  • Flowering: May (before foliage)
  • Flower color: bright orange to tangerine
  • Foliage: medium green, turning bronze to purple in fall
  • Hardiness: zone 3 (down to -34°C)
