Asian Variety

Vigorous and productive variety, providing round fruits with thick, smooth, yellow-green skin. The white flesh is crunchy and juicy. These fruits are sometimes called “apple-pear” since they look like apples but have the texture of pears. Hardy shrub, both fruit and ornamental, requiring winter cold to fruit. Planting preferably in autumn or spring for harvest from mid-August. 

Production two (2) years after planting.

Harvest: August to September.

Pollination: Self-fertile.

Hardiness zone: 5

Diseases: Susceptible to bacterial blight.
