Harogem is a Canadian variety that can produce in early July in southern Ontario. Regular high productivity of medium-sized red fruits. The flesh is soft with a non-adherent core, juicy and aromatic with good firmness. The fruit is ideal for fresh consumption and sale in the market. The tree is of medium vigor, almost straight. Popular older variety, with good healthy fruit characteristics. Beautiful white flowers in spring!

History: Crossed by Richard Leyne of Harrow, Ontario, Canada in 1979. Apricot Growing Tips: Prune only in early summer as part of fruit thinning during intensive growing years or after picking during years of light cultivation. If there is no harvest, do not prune. Apricots do not suffer from peach curl disease, but be aware that they contract bacterial canker quite badly in prolonged wet weather. Growing in pots is acceptable provided there is even humidity. Good drainage is essential and for best success a south wall is perfect...they deserve a prime position!
