We harvested many hybrid hazelnut seeds in September 2023 and for the first time, we offer them to our customers for the sowing 2024 season. They are seeds from different American x European hybrids for zones 3 and 4 and they are medium size..approaching or equal to the size of the regular cultivated Hazelnut on the market. They have to be stratified during the cold months in the moist sand to ensure a good germination rate in April-May 2024.

Please remember that the seed grown from different parent sources can only be identified as "seedlings of... and not by the cultivar name. Cultivars are propagated by asexual means, that is, by grafting, layering, cuttings or tissue culture. A named cultivar has the same set of genes in every tree produced this way. A seed produced tree gets genes from 2 parents and so every seed grown tree is unique with its own set of genes and so should not be loosely named as its cultivar parent.

Clean Seeds from an isolated big tree. Very productive parent tree. A pure cross between heartnut and butternut. Fully resistant to the butternut canker. for zone 3 and 4.

The natural mineralizer Huplaso is a volcanic rock dust of the ultramafic basalt-type dating from the Middle Ordovician time (460-466 ma). It comes from a quarry in New Brunswick Canada having had a volcanic deposit with distinctive properties, which makes the product very rare, if not unique. It can be used for landscaping and organic farming.

This mineralizer, which is also a liming product, comes from a magma that cooled rapidly, which has made it possible to retain a large number of mineral elements. It guaranteed the addition of at least 57 nutrients (macro, micro and trace elements) to your soil. It is thanks to these that there are so many advantages using this product for agriculture.

In addition to providing a large number of nutrients to your soil and your crops, Huplaso improves the yield by over 35%, balances the pH and increases the level of paramagnetism in your soil. Black walnuts are now available for your own experiments.

We sell them broken up and cleaned. After receiving them in spring, sow them in cet soil 2 inches deep, or store them in a slightly damp sandbag in the fridge over winter and plant them in spring.

Without stratification, the nuts will not germinate. Seeds must survive a period of cold weather without freezing. Ideal stratification temperature between 0 and 4°C. Plastic bag with moist sand ideal for stratification.
