A truly unique specimen of its kind, its leaves have a sublime shape and it produces large, light yellow, tulip-shaped flowers in spring. It is a tree native to the eastern United States and southern Ontario but adaptable to southern Quebec. Beautiful specimens can be found in Montreal, Ottawa and Granby in particular. 2-3 specimens even grow in Mauricie. It is a very beautiful species for decorating grounds and parks as well as for beautifying your private land. It will definitely charm you with its unique foliage and its allure. Zoned at least in 4b hot near the river, we don't really recommend it at the bottom of this zone. Our seed sources come from zone 5a and are therefore very interesting because they are not seeds of southern Ontario or American origin.
