Very rare and magnificent in flower. For zone 5a-5b
Vigorous tree with conical crown. Its leaves, medium green, turn yellow in autumn. Before or at the same time as the leaves, bouquets appear formed of 2 to 5 white flowers, in a large bell, followed by green fruits, with four wings. Tree with pyramidal shape when young. Leaves elliptical to oblong-ovate, acuminate at the corner or rounded at the base, 8-16 cm long, downy, becoming medium green with age, medium green turning yellow in autumn. Flowers 2-5 cm in diameter. Corolla weakly lobed, 15-25 mm long. Fruit 35-50 mm long, with 4 equal wings.
Growing advice: planting in deep, well-drained soil. Easy transplantation. Protection against cold winds.
Pruning (February-April) Before resuming vegetation, prune diseased or dead wood and crossing branches to keep only vigorous branches and maintain a beautiful appearance.
