Small to medium sized tree. This tree produces fruits commonly called Persimmon, orange in color, which are harvested late in autumn. It is considered not very hardy and must be planted in a protected location. This is an ornamental tree for small spaces that will give you unusual fruit production. It is preferable to plant two plants or even 3 because male plants give little production. By planting two plants, you will increase the chance of producing fruit and having a female plant. The fruits must be very ripe before consuming them and they must even undergo a frost or two otherwise you will find their taste astringent.
