The tree itself is much more vigorous and has a healthier appearance than most apricot trees. In fact, with its glossy, abundant foliage and large shrubby form, it is an ideal specimen for landscaping. The large, round fruit has a melon-red tint to the yellow skin. The super juicy, golden yellow flesh is similar to plum and has a tangy touch. It has this aromatic apricot flavor. In our opinion, a properly tree-ripened Plumcot offers a delicious taste experience unparalleled in all of fruit!
Pollination : semi-sterile. Only one tree produces but it will produce more and larger fruits with another Plumcot or plum tree.
