This very hardy cultivar grows with long, decorative red stems. Perennial, it should find its place in a flowerbed rather than with other so-called annual vegetables. It is preferably grown in fresh, well-loosened soil, rich in humus. Harvest 2 years after planting in spring, when the stems are tender and delicious.
