Russian variety
The Vekovaya pear has a very pleasant flavor, somewhere between sweet and sour. The coloring is yellow with intense red skin on a third of the pear. Vekovaya is a large pear-shaped fruit. The flesh is white, very crunchy and juicy.The fruits can be kept for 1 to 3 months after harvest.It is a very productive tree with large annual yields. It takes about 4 to 5 years to start fruiting and the fruits are ready for harvest in mid to late September. There are no known disease issues to date.
Pollination: Self-sterile. Requires another pear tree for pollination.
