Self-fertile.
Cherry tree selected for the quality of its sweet, red-black fruits. The abundant harvest takes place at the end of August. Once mature, one plant can yield up to 30 pounds of cherries, ideal for caning, cooking, juicing, or eating fresh. The beauty of the foliage and flowers also make the Romeo cherry tree an interesting ornamental plant. Very rustic. Prune during the dormant period (end of March, beginning of April).
