Wild Plum

The black plum tree (Prunus nigra) isthe best pollinator for hybrid plum trees. It also produces a tasty and very sweet fruit. The black plum tree is the wild plum tree of Canada. Their fruits are delicious, you have to make sure to pick them ripe. They are magnificent in spring with their flowering, and their scent invades the surroundings... Growing from seedlings, it has not been grafted.

Pollination: Excellent pollinator for all hybrid American plum trees.

Planting distance between the two trees: 12 feet.
