Asian variety
Kosui produces attractive, medium-sized yellow-orange fruits with a light tan-red color. The sweet, low-acid flesh gives this crunchy and juicy pear the delicious flavor that characterizes it. The compact tree with spreading growth shows a more tall resistance to fire blight than most Asians. Kosui means "good water" in Japanese.
Pollination: Self-sterile. Requires another pear tree for pollination.
