Variety with fairly dark red fruits, tasty flesh, very aromatic. It is very productive and very resistant to powdery mildew.
Sun exposure. Ordinary soil, not too dry to fresh. Hardy, at least until -30°C. Zone 3a
Deciduous foliage. Bushy port. Summer interest. Excellent for fruit gardens and permaculture.
Give it sun and fresh, loose and fertile soil so that it bears abundantly. Watch out for tiny thorns when picking, they sting! Common in our gardens, gooseberries, whether planted for their decorative flowering or for their delicious fruits, are medium-sized shrubs, easy to grow.
They appreciate good garden soil, and a sunny but not too hot location.
