Diffuse habit forming a mound. Reddish green foliage in spring, green in season. Dark purple pink flower resembling that of the rosehip. Edible fruits, similar to raspberries, attract birds. Prefers dry places. Resists pollution and tolerates cutting well. Excellent plant for naturalization. zone 3a.
