Small stoloniferous serviceberry tree, interesting for its reduced size compared to other serviceberry trees. Spreads by its suckers, forming groves. White flowers in spring followed by edible, sweet fruits attracting birds. Thrives in rather dry or well-drained soil and tolerates clay soils very well. Native.
