Hasty
An improved Redhaven cultivar. Bite your teeth into one of these beautiful, large peaches at the peak of their ripeness! The large, round fruits (up to 3 inches in diameter) have an 80% rich red color on a subtly striped background. The flesh is medium yellow and has a wonderful real peach flavor. Redstar stores well, bruises less and has very few split pits. The tree itself has a spreading habit and is very resilient and productive. Resistant to canker and bacterial spot. Ripens in late July.
Pollination: Self-pollinating, it gives better harvests if planted near another peach variety with a similar flowering time.
Planting distance between trees: 10-12 feet.
Hardiness zone: 5-8. Growing in pots is recommended.
