The most popular clingstone peach for commercial food processors, Babygold is our choice for delicious spicy canned peaches! Good-sized fruit with yellow flesh, sometimes slightly reddened around the stone. The tree is vigorous and grows with a slender habit. If you want to can or freeze peaches to enjoy them all year round. Ripens at the end of August.
Pollination: Self-fertile, but yield is best when planted near another peach variety with a similar flowering time.
Planting distance between trees: 10-12 feet.
Hardiness zone: 5b in open ground. Zone 3 to 5 for pot growing (recommended).
