Zone 5a

In colder areas...can be grown in pots and left lying under the snow during winter

One of the best apricots in cultivation! The fruits have a pleasant apricot flavor with lots of juice and are sensational for eating fresh, canning and even drying. Rich in vitamins and antioxidants. The tree is hardy and a beauty in the landscape with its heart-shaped foliage and gorgeous whitish-pink spring flowers – an attractive and early-growing tree for wildlife! The flowers give way to large golden yellow fruits in summer. Introduced in the late 1600s. Fruits ripen in mid-July. Self-fertile.
