These are hybrids of hazel trees crossed with European hazel trees exposed for several years to the harsh climate of Minnesota in the northern American Midwest. These are productive trees with hazelnuts with moderately thick shells. Tree size, nut size and ease of shelling vary greatly since they are seedlings. Suitable for climate zone 3a -3b
